I’m in love with this product!!! So easy to open and close, keeps clean, looks menacing and feels very durable. You can’t beat it for the price!
This item was super sexy to use, but here are a few complaints.
One. The Iten isn’t as shiny as it looks in the picture. It’s more of a dull metal color.
Two. Item doesn’t crank the mouth “too” far so that the person you use it on can’t take it straight out of there mouth. In other words… the person can just spit the thing right out.
Three. You can’t use it on a COMPLETELY closed mouth. The person has to willingly open their jaw a little before you can insert the device…. it would have been nice to be able to softly wedge the device in without the person being “willing”.
Other than that it’s very cool and very light weight.

I was pleasently surprised by the quality in both materials and build, the joints move smoothly and the ‘ratchets’ function well. It opens up wide enough to work for those with large jaws as well.
The one negative about Whitehead Gags in general and not this one specificaly is the metal-on-teeth contact which is too uncomfortable/risky (chipped teeth are expensive!) I have put some liquid latex around the contact points which is working quite well as a mediator.
This is…well, I dont need to say it….anyone viewing thuis should be like minded. However it does tend to pinch the lip and grind the teeth. I didnt intend to cause the lip pain so develiped a fix for that (easy, put it in very carefully and ensure the lip is not pinched) but the grinding on the teeth could cause permanent damage so concerned me. I ended up getting a small and thing rubber teeth guard for her, allowing this to sit on the guard and keep her teeth safe. It gets annoying at times, but i prefer not to damage her unintentionally, and the guard is replaceable. Her teeth are not.
I won’t get into too many details, but let’s just say that this product is A-OK in my book!
The quality is on par with the price, perhaps even better than that. I foresee it holding up pretty well over time if not abused too much.
