This would be really comfortable if I had a smaller mouth. But it works. It doesn’t hurt my teeth. The bite bar is really soft and kinda chewy lol. It is more comfortable than it looks.
I love this gag! Comfortable, the bit section is flexible enough that it conforms to my mouth, but still presents a challenge and pushes back on the edges of my mouth. The bit is pretty resilient, and I don’t fear scratching/damaging it with my teeth even if I chew at it a bit. (I feel it’s flexible nature actually prevents one from scratching/damaging it since it’s harder to get enough purchase with your teeth to really scratch/chew it)
This bit also has plenty of tightness settings, so that even the tiniest person can still be restrained. (I WOULD KNOW!)
Even at it’s tightest setting, I could still spit it out if necessary. Some might consider this a negative, but keeping safety in mind I find it appealing if one is doing solo play. However, I have to REALLY WORK at it! I’m tiny, and the tightest setting proves a challenge to get it out of my mouth. I might be able to spit it out, but it gets caught on my chin and puts pressure in a way that makes keeping it in my mouth more preferable. (Which is good, you don’t want a pony rejecting the bit, now do we?)
It being silicone also means it is body-safe and very easy to clean! And the metal is pretty high quality, too! The metal doesn’t look cheap by any means or like it will break/wear down any time soon.
The only negative, is the loops that attach to the silicone don’t look like you could bend them to change the bit out for a new one, or remove the rings. One might want to remove the rings to attempt to change the metal’s color, or add charms/decorations to the ring. However, you could easily attach decorations otherwise by just adding a small loop to the rings, and changing the metal’s color might mean not-so-safe-around-the-mouth chemicals/dyes near your mouth. It’s not a total loss, because all the same, I’d rather those rings NOT bend under pressure!
I think this is the best compromise between price and quality, especially since this thing is built to last! It might last me my whole life.
